The deadline to receive Expressions of Interest (EOI’s) to build new wind farms by the private sector was on Thursday, 12 April 2018. The call for EOI’s (2^nd Round) was launched by the Ministry of Energy and Water on 15 January 2018. A total of 42 EOI’s were received and registered at the office of the Minister of Energy and Water, including a large spectrum of local and international companies and investors. The evaluation process of the EOI’s is expected to take around 2 months, after which a detailed Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued. LCEC encourages all potential investors to initiate the measurement campaigns on potential lands to avoid any delays in the future.
