On 29^th October 2019, the Italian Ministry for the Environment and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the field of climate change, vulnerability to climate change, risk, adaptation and mitigation.

The Protocol promotes the strengthening of collaboration between the two countries, in order to coordinate efforts to combat global climate change and its adverse effects, and addressing its negative effects by promoting the transition to a sustainable low-carbon economy and, in general, to environmental and natural resource protection.

The Memorandum is valid for 5 years and automatically renewed for a further 5 years.
